This retreat is great for the whole family! Grandparents, extended family, and empty-nest homeschoolers are welcome, too. We’ll enjoy activities, group events, game nights, and meet-ups throughout the week. Rooms, meals, and scheduled group activities are included in the price.
Many activities are available: archery, sports, arts and crafts, horseback riding, hiking, disc and mini-golf, climbing wall, zip-lining, and more. (Many activities are free, some cost a nominal fee for materials or rental, while others cost more.)
My retreats are the most relaxed of all my trips, and children (and adults) have plenty of opportunities to bond and have fun. It doesn’t take long for the kids to put away their electronics and get outside together.
Lodging & Meals
Our rooms are similar to hotel rooms, but without the frills. Standard rooms have 2 queen beds and 1 roll-away bed, maximum of 5 people per room. Loft rooms have 2 queen beds and 2 roll-away beds, with the upper level only accessible by stairs, maximum of 6 people per room ($180 extra). Rooms have Wi-Fi, but no phone, TV, fridge, or microwave.
Meals are provided from lunch on Sunday, May 17, through breakfast on Saturday, May 23. Meals are buffet-style, with options for vegetarians, vegans, sugar-free, and gluten-free diets. Please note on your registration form if you have allergies or other food issues.
Cost and What’s Included
The cost is per room for the entire stay (not per night) as follows:
For each person in the room ages 13 and up: $584 each ($602 debit/credit)
For the first two children ages 5-12: add $50 each ($52 debit/credit)
For each additional child ages 5-12: add $224 each ($231 debit/credit)
Children ages 4 and under are free.
Loft rooms are an additional $180 per room for the entire stay, not per night ($186 debit/credit).
Age verification for each child under age 13 will be required to get discounts. Without verification, all children will be counted as adults.
Your total includes your registration fee, lodging for 6 nights, all scheduled group activities, other included activities, meals starting from lunch on our arrival day through breakfast on our departure day, and tons of fun.
Some activities have a fee (climbing wall, horseback riding, zip lines, etc.), and you’ll pay for them as you go. Other activities are available for free or a nominal fee for supplies or rental. Here’s a list of available activities.
For families flying in, round-trip shuttle service from St. Louis Lambert International Airport to the YMCA is available at an extra cost.
Payment, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
Your total is due within 7 days of my email confirmation. Payments are refundable only if I fill our room block and have a family on my waiting list to replace you. A $250 per-person cancellation fee will be deducted from any refunds.
No refunds or roster changes after December 31, 2019.
I accept personal checks, BillPay (not PopMoney), electronic transfers through Zelle (if your bank offers that), and credit/debit cards through my online payment system. I don’t accept PayPal, or other payment methods for this trip.
Adding extra people without my prior approval is not allowed, and your spots aren’t transferable. Your signed waiver and payment acknowledges your understanding and agreement with my cancellation and refund policy.
